The RETAS team is made up of staff and volunteers, all working together to help refugees and asylum seekers feel welcome and supported to fully integrate into the local community. We have a wonderful team of 43 volunteers, with a diverse array of skills, experiences and backgrounds- 18 languages are spoken by our team of volunteers!
Volunteers are crucial in the delivery of our services from interpreting and advising to administrative support and community engagement. We would simply not be able to manage without them. Volunteering is at the heart of RETAS, and we value the contribution of volunteers in the development of volunteer roles, the volunteer service and wider service provision. We welcome applications for volunteering from all backgrounds and provide volunteers with a support package to help them to develop personally and professionally. Interpreters - Ongoing request for individuals with language skills and a willingness to do Level 1 Interpreting. Languages include Arabic, Tigrinya, Amharic, Farsi, French and Kurdish.
